All does not appear well for Rigathi Gachagua and his party in the Ol Kalou by-election. The confidence he projected at the start of the campaign seems to have gradually faded as the race enters its final stretch.
From what is being observed on the ground, the contest is no longer as predictable as it once appeared. It is not necessarily that voters have embraced the UDA candidate, but the extensive gifts and incentives reportedly distributed during the campaign have left many residents undecided and uncertain.
As a result, even Gachagua’s camp appears unsure of how the vote will ultimately turn out. For now, it is a waiting game, and the ballot will provide the final answer.
