Rigathi Gachagua has made one thing clear — he would rather drag the whole country into chaos if it means hurting President William Ruto. His “Wantam” chant is not just politics, it’s a calculated distraction to keep Kenyans angry, divided, and blind to his real agenda: revenge and self-preservation.
Instead of using his platform to push for solutions, Gachagua is busy cheering for failure. He wants the economy to crumble, farmers to suffer, and public services to grind to a halt — all so he can point fingers and say, “Look, Ruto has failed.” That is not leadership; it’s betrayal.
A real leader can disagree with the president but still fight for the country to succeed. Gachagua, on the other hand, thrives on the idea that the worse things get, the better it is for him politically. He is gambling with people’s livelihoods for his own ambition.
Kenyans should ask themselves: Do we really want two more years of a man rooting for collapse? Do we want hospitals without medicine, farmers without markets, and youth without jobs — just so one man can have his revenge?
This is politics at its ugliest. Gachagua is not fighting for the people; he is fighting for himself. His brand of politics is poison — tribal, divisive, and dangerous to national unity.
If we let this kind of thinking win, we will be telling every future politician that it’s okay to sink the ship if they can’t be captain. Kenya deserves better. We need leaders who build, not burn; who unite, not divide; and who understand that true patriotism means putting Kenya first, not personal grudges.
