Rigathi Gachagua thrives on noise, not solutions. His entire political playbook is built on sloganeering, blame games, and tribal soundbites, not substance. And now, in a desperate bid to remain relevant after impeachment, he wants to drag Kenyans back into daily, endless politics—a strategy that has no place in a country trying to move forward.
Gachagua has never offered a serious policy plan for Kenya. Ask him about agriculture, education, health care, or job creation—you’ll hear nothing concrete. What you will get instead are loud tribal declarations, victimhood, and shallow political threats. That’s not leadership. That’s a distraction.
Kenya is facing real problems: rising cost of living, joblessness, poor service delivery, and insecurity in various parts of the country. At a time when we need cool heads and visionary minds focused on the economy and development, Gachagua wants to keep the country in permanent campaign mode. He’s more comfortable in rallies than in boardrooms. More fluent in dividing than in uniting.
A true leader knows when to stop talking and start building. Gachagua never made that shift. Even when he was Deputy President, he spent more time throwing jabs at imaginary enemies than delivering on real responsibilities. Now, stripped of office, he is doubling down on the same tired tactics, hoping Kenyans will forget his failures.
We should not be fooled. Kenya needs forward-thinking leaders—not cheerleaders of chaos. Gachagua represents a politics of the past: tribal, noisy, and empty.
His slogans may trend on social media, but slogans don’t feed families or build roads. It’s time we stop giving airtime to leaders who have no agenda for Kenya and start focusing on those who are ready to work. Gachagua should not be taken seriously—because he’s never been serious about Kenya.
